Live, Laugh... and Laugh Some More

End the year with some laughs at Gainesville Comedy Showcase, featuring shows every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Clarion Inn and Conference Center.

Thursday nights, known as—get this—Thursday Night Live, are dedicated to amateurs, while Friday and Saturday feature Florida-based professional acts.

The performers range in age from 18 to 45, meaning “there’s a little something for everyone,” organizer JC Currias says.

Thursday Night Live and Gainesville Comedy Showcase have been entertaining people for the past five years. They offer nightly drink specials, including $5 pitchers. Thursday night cover is $5 and $7 Friday and Saturday, December only, arrive before 9pm and get in free!
