Look of the Day: Jet-setter

Laura Vela, 23, UF business graduate international student

We spotted Laura grabbing a drink at the Starbucks in Library West standing out from the usual crowd on a Monday morning. As seen by her contrast between chic simplicity and rocker edge, it is obvious that Laura knows her styling skills. She credits her unique style to a lot of experience in the fashion industry. Over the past couple of years, she has studied fashion design at FIT in New York, contributed to Teen Vogue events and fashion shows and styled celebrities (like the cast of Gossip Girl!). Laura loves mixing comfy clothes with pieces that allow you to still look feminine and chic. One of her favorite style tricks include matching boyfriend jeans or leather jackets with touches of pink.
